Do you prescribe benzodiazepines?
At CLCBH, benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin) are only prescribed for short-term use when clinically necessary. Because of the potential for dependence, withdrawal symptoms, and cognitive side effects, these medications are not included in our long-term treatment plans. Our approach prioritizes safer, evidence-based interventions that promote sustainable mental wellness.
If you’re located in Massachusetts and can attend in-person visits in Boston, you may be eligible for certain controlled medications when it’s clinically appropriate.
